Planning of research on medicinal plants for anticancer activity. Table Top bioassay techniques for toxicity studies. Screened a number of plant extracts for anticancer & anti-HIV activities on cell lines. During the work period a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between NCI and DU which has been renewed for third time in 2006 (15 Years for anticancer research on medicinal plants of Bangladesh.

Research Group Leader of Studies of Organic Pollutants in Food and Environment. The research Grant obtained from the International Science Program Sciences (IPICS), Uppsala University, Sweden Research Grant amount to US$ 40,000-50,000 in each year

1999 - 2001
Received research grant from the Ministry of Science and Technology Govt. of Bangladesh for developing Spirulina as an Antidiabetic Agent and for research on anticancer and anti-HIV studies. Research Grant amount to US$ 15,000 for two years.

Received research grant from the International Foundation for Sciences (IFS), Stockholm, Sweden. Research Grant amount US$ 46,000 in four years.
